Optimized Labor Model

A woman with long dark hair wearing a beige sweater places an order at a counter while a smiling female employee in a blue uniform interacts with her inside a casual restaurant or cafe.

In the hospitality industry, lack of quality team members and staff turnover are longtime pain points. Taziki's has some of the best statistics in this category in the restaurant industry. We build our schedules around an “entrees-per-man-hour” model to account for right-sized labor in a delivery app-heavy world. We aim to keep our bottom line strong without sacrificing quality.

Running a restaurant starts and ends with your people, but having an effective operating system that is built to adjust to each restaurant’s unique situation and the brand as it grows, is critical in today’s restaurant landscape.
— Drew Moore, Sr. Director of Operational Excellence

Balanced Dayparts

Taziki’s is achieving what many restaurant brands strive for… equal parts lunch and dinner sales, with plenty of catering mixed in. The menu mix tends to lean towards gyros and salads for lunch, and feasts during the dinner period. Catering is largely B2B, and typically heavier during the weekdays. If your Taziki’s is near a church, you better be well staffed for Sunday lunch!

Both lunch and dinner dayparts have a well-developed mix of in-person and off-premise dining. Increases in online ordering and third party delivery have made it more convenient than ever to order Taziki’s.

Order modes

Running a restaurant today is the combination of a technology company and a logistics company, all with warm hospitality.
— Dan Simpson, CEO

Our guests have many options on how they choose to place an order at Taziki’s. They can place orders:

  • In-Person

  • Online (through our proprietary app)

  • Online (website)

  • Over the Phone

  • 3rd Party Delivery

  • Catering Call Center

  • Third-Party Catering Platforms

Taziki’s is built to adapt to a changing world, but we will always serve guests with our trademark hospitality.

By maintaining strong entrees-per-man-hour and adapting to shifting customer needs, we’ve built a resilient business model. Our innovative strategies, from a balanced daypart mix to a flexible labor approach, empower franchisees to navigate challenges without sacrificing quality.

Best-In-Class Software

In 2025, Taziki’s switched to the best-in-class Restaurant Management System (RMS), Restaurant 365. R365 is a comprehensive software designed to streamline operations by integrating accounting, inventory, payroll, and reporting into one platform. This automates financial processes, improves inventory management, and provides real-time analytics to optimize decision-making. Customized to Taziki’s, R365 also enables more efficient labor scheduling and vendor management, reducing operational costs and increasing profitability. All of this helps you spend more time working “on the business” versus “in the business.”

Local and Authentic Sourcing

In addition to our broad and established product distribution network, you are able to work with partners within 100 miles of the restaurant to add in as much local flavor as possible. Tazikis also imports several authentic ingredients from the Mediterranean proprietary to Taziki’s. This video is several years old, but all of the content is still accurate today.
