The Tazki’s Story

Our Beginnings

In 1997 Keith Richards and his wife Amy took a vacation to Greece. There they discovered small-table Mediterranean cafes where everyone in the community gathered together to connect and celebrate life. They enjoyed the food, but also observed a deeper kind of warmth that led them to say, “That’s what I want to spend my life doing.” Inspired, the first Taziki’s was born in 1998. Over the years, with the addition of new Taziki’s Cafes across the country, our fast casual dining brand has become a family of big-hearted foodies committed to positively affecting their communities.

Over the next 26 years, Keith and Amy grew their original family restaurants into a mature, scalable brand that is Taziki's today. While much of the delicious menu has stayed the same, we’ve integrated process efficiencies and technology to make the brand a systems-driven, scaleable, operation. When you join the brand, you’ll feel the passion that built Taziki's while benefiting from our industry-leading team that understands how to sustainably scale in today's environment.

 Our Essence

The essence of Taziki’s is the Greek word Eudaimonia, which simply means “human flourishing.” We believe in sharing the impactful and everyday moments of life over a delicious meal with loved ones. We put our heart behind everything we do because we value the “flourishing” of our guests.
