Do you need restaurant experience to be a Taziki’s Franchise Partner?
Taziki’s Mediterranean Café requires franchisees to have prior restaurant experience on their ownership team… but this can be achieved in several ways. The range stretches from an existing multi-unit restaurant owner, to a financially qualified person with good business acumen, partnering with a local operating partner who has the needed experience to successfully run Taziki’s.
Taziki’s can be built around a structured ownership model that emphasizes leadership, accountability, and operational support. Every franchise partnership must include an operating partner who is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the restaurant and holds at least 5% equity, ensuring alignment between ownership and performance. There are several ways that this ownership can be structured.
To support this model, Taziki’s provides a comprehensive training program designed to prepare on-site leadership for success. The operating partner completes 8 weeks of training at a certified Taziki’s training location. In addition, each restaurant’s General Manager completes 8 weeks of training, while two Assistant General Managers complete 4 weeks of training each, creating a well-trained leadership team from opening day forward. Franchise partners who will not be in the restaurant daily with resposbilityes, are encouraged to complete “ownership training” that can be tailored to the level of detailed knowledge that each partner wants.
This approach allows entrepreneurs from a wide range of professional backgrounds to pursue Taziki’s ownership with confidence. By pairing non-restaurant owners with trained operators and a proven system, Taziki’s offers a clear and achievable path to franchise ownership, without requiring prior experience in the restaurant industry to get involved.
